Agents marketing plan

  Sellers should look for an overall marketing plan that demonstrates successes. Don't settle for: "I'll advertise once a week and hold open houses." Look for advertising details — how often and in what media, samples of marketing campaigns with results, and more. The agent you choose should know how, when, and where to advertise your property. Sometimes, marketing through their personal contacts and not through traditional advertising media will be an agent's most effective approach. An agent you hire to market your home should also be a member of the MLS and have his or her listings on the Internet in order to provide the widest possible exposure.  
    Agents time to devote to you   Many real estate agents will promote the number of listings and sales that they've had or how many listings they have now or buyers they are currently working with. While these details can be important to many sellers, the most important criteria is that the agent has the time to devote to your needs. For example, if the agent has lots of listings, make sure you're comfortable with the time they'll have for you. On the other hand, if they have few listings or sales, ask them how their lack of experience can be overcome. Most agents are willing to do what it takes to get the job done but sometimes don't know what it takes unless you tell them what you need.
